Bilingual Program Assistant
As the Bilingual (English/Spanish) Program Assistant, you will be a key member of the Shadow Project team, helping kids who learn differently to thrive in school. In this role, you will bring our neurodiversity-affirming programs and resources to 60+ schools in under-resourced communities, and expand support to Spanish-speaking and Latino children and families. As with all members of our staff, the Program Assistant is responsible for centering equity in all aspects of their processes and products, and continually seeking out opportunities to improve practices of equity and anti-racism.
The Program Assistant position is full time position (40 hours/week), with a hybrid schedule, approximately 30% in-person. Work sites include our NE Broadway office, the NE Portland warehouse, and Portland Metro and Clark County partner schools. The position reports to the Program Director.

Since 2003, we have partnered with talented special education teachers and staff to increase academic success and inclusion for the 1 in 5 students who experience learning and attention challenges in school. Our school-based and summer programs give teachers and parents resources and training to nurture the strengths of children who are neurodivergent and/or experience disability, so they can achieve to their potential.

While performing the duties of this job, the Program Assistant is required to stand, walk, and/or sit. The PA must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Collaborative work with team members is regularly performed within the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends required.
Compensation
$22.25/hour. Shadow Project covers 100% of employee premiums for employee medical, dental, and vision insurance. Generous time off policies totaling up to 29 days of paid leave. Access to professional development fund, reimbursement for work-related mileage and $50/month WFH stipend.
